The Málaga Convention Bureau (MCB) is an area within the Tourism Department of the City Council of Málaga, specialized in the meetings tourism sector. Its main objective is to promote the city as a destination for congresses, conventions, and incentive trips. The Málaga Convention Bureau provides companies and event organizers with advice, a wide range of hotels, and services that will contribute to the success of their event. The MCB has two main areas of work:

• Planning and organization advisory services for meetings.

Promotion of the city of Málaga as a destination in the meetings tourism sector.

• The institutional and non-profit nature allows the MCB’s support and advisory services to be completely free, with a guarantee of impartiality.

Organization advisory services

Assistance in the selection of:

• Venue, accommodation, and suppliers for your congress, meeting, or incentive trip.
• Activity programs for incentive trips.
• Cultural and leisure programs for delegates and companions.
• City tours and excursions.
• Provision of city maps and tourist brochures for participants.
• Liaison with city organizations and institutions for municipal and protocol services.
• Coordination of inspection visits.

Logistic support for congress candidacies

• Preparation of the candidacy dossier.
• Provision of graphic and audiovisual materials.
• Collaboration in the presentation session of the candidacy by the associated members.
• Cooperation in the promotion of congresses, once awarded.
• Coordination with the City Council departments.
• Coordination of inspection visits.

Familiarization trips

The MCB organizes familiarization trips for different professional groups to showcase the best of what the city of Málaga has to offer in the meetings tourism segment.
